MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Sydney Bowes of Berry Women's Golf has been named Southern Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.

The Vikings took on their host tournament, the South Georgia Open in Statesboro earlier this week, and finished 18th as a team.

Bowes led the Vikings for the tournament, finishing 21st individually against a field of 12 top 50 ranked teams in Division III.

She shot a 78 (+6) with a birdie in the first round and shot an 82 in the second round.

Bowes and the Vikings return to action on March 21, competing in the Jekyll Island Invitational in Jekyll Island, Georgia.
